*the black plastic cap of my antenna detached from the antenna body exposing the inner core of the antenna*the dealer charged $147 for the part, $65 for labor, plus 10% tax, total bill over $240. *bought the plastic cap and bottom gasket from Revain.com for $26 (inc.tax) *bought a 2.5mm hex head screw for $13 (inc.tax) at the local hardware store *checked the instructions for replacing the antenna housing on You Tube (great step by step video) * the whole exchange took less than 20 minutes (I'm a very bad DIYer). * $200 saved! -:) Tip: Please lubricate the plastic cover with a little olive oil on the inside and outside to make assembly easier. Warning: DO NOT buy this if your antenna system or antenna housing is damaged/broken. it is a black plastic antenna cover and a black plastic gasket. NO antenna. NOT the antenna housing.
