Review on πŸ”§ Brake Lever Internals Service Kit with Rebuild Part Piston Assembly, Ensures Sram GUIDE LEVEL CODE DB5 Unlocks Smoothly, Eliminating Sticking or Oil Leakage by Anatoly Yorgason

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Take these pistons or take Shimano!

My Sram's R-rails are binding, causing the brakes to bind and the lever to feel awful when it's hot. By the time I got to the trail I was tired of using the water supply to cool the brake levers so I could ride safely. I've ordered them not to pay Sram another dollar for scrap parts that need to be recalled. I believe my Guide Rs are second generation and are still having issues. These pistons weren't quite the length of my factory piston so after dumping Sram I trim them to my original piston length and after installing PAG grease (not Sram grease) and bleeding my brakes it feels phenomenal. longer clippings and return to their original position once released. I even left my bike in the sun on a roof rack longer than necessary to confirm the repair.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad but...
