Review on 📏 Precision Measuring Made Easy with Lyman 7832212 Stainless Caliper by Young Toulson

Well I had high hopes for this caliper as it is made exactly like my imported caliper which I have used for many years. I hope mine was just defective and this isn't an issue of the full production cycle. The problem is that when you close the calipers the needle sometimes goes well past zero, but opening and closing again brings it back to zero. The dial hand also moved counterclockwise very slowly when closed at 0.000 inches and back at -0.085 inches. While this can easily be fixed by adjusting the dial to align the pointer to zero, the fact remains that the pointer moves counter-clockwise, making this tool useless to me. Every time I open and close the caliper I have to reset to zero. I already messed up a part I made because of this problem. I would like to return this item and try another one.
