I LOVE THIS WINE KEY

I'm a professional waiter, so I open thousands of bottles of wine a year. I really like this wine key, but it does have a few notable flaws. My critiques probably don't matter much to the average home user, but these are unnecessary omissions that prevent this device from being both beautiful and highly functional. And it *is* a good looking wine key with a good weight making it durable and stylish. First, there's no groove in the corkscrew itself. Not that I understand the physics, but it means it squeaks a lot more when you twist it in or out of the cork. A lot of decent wine keys have this groove, and for some reason it really reduces the noise the corkscrew makes. Second, the handle is very bulky. What I mean is that it feels good, slightly rubbery which gives good grip, but it's too thick. Or the grooves for knives and corkscrews are too deep. It is very difficult to open the corkscrew with one finger as it fits tightly into the handle and it is almost impossible to open the knife part without using two fingers to pull it out. The nail has a notch for gripping a knife, but it's so deep in it that it's not easy to pull it out. As a waiter, if you follow formal table etiquette, you always have a knife in your hand. bottle of wine with one hand and hold the label towards the person who ordered it. So it is very practical to be able to open the corkscrew with your thumb, or to quickly pull out the knife with your thumb and/or forefinger to cut through the foil. By making both of these actions awkward and difficult to perform with one hand, you make for a more awkward presentation of the wine bottle from the side of the table. Again, I'm sure this won't affect most users, and it's not bad enough to make me buy the famous wine key right away, but it does feel like a significant downgrade from my old one.
