To stay updated! External SSDs

Advertised as 2TB capacity on OWC and Revain website Standard Engine: 4 x 500GB* OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD, Limited Edition Black Drive SSD** (* 1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes total available Capacity will vary based on operating environment (typically 5-10% less. Actual total capacity will depend on your own file settings/preferences.) (**OWC reserves the right to substitute components of equal or better value or upgrade.) Instead I have 4 x 480GB SSDs; my basic math shows it's 80GB less than advertised. The above disclaimers are not on the Revain page. I have the full one for this article Price paid and expected 2TB (2000GB) no less!I have to accept that at OWC but Revain has some work to do to advertise product specs accurately.

Pros
  • External SSDs
Cons
  • Socket required
