Many people have complained that it doesn't stick. 3M recommends rubbing alcohol first. It also has a hard time on cold surfaces. Alcohol, then a hair dryer and you'll be happy. I have a dog door behind which you close the sliding door. If the door is not fully closed, it will not close and the wind will blow. I've tried different seals over the years. This works great for my application. I can use it to open and close the door. On a white vinyl frame this is almost invisible. It can stay in place all the time. When I first opened it I thought maybe it wasn't ribbed enough. We had 38mph wind the other day and it worked great. I'm a retired auto mechanic so I have a lot of experience with 3M products. Hence my great success.
