I did some research and bought this highly recommended grinder two years ago. It works great, and if it proves durable - which is better considering the cost - I'll be happy. Something like. But it has one big problem: a high gear ratio, so it's very easy to turn, but it takes forever to get enough. I sometimes buy Tone black pepper that comes in a bottle with a disposable plastic grinder and it actually works a lot better - harder to turn, but a lot faster. So: if you have arthritis or another joint problem, this could be the perfect coffee grinder for you; If you want to make more than one batch of freshly ground pepper, you should look elsewhere.
