I only just installed this, so don't know how long it will last, but I was extremely happy with the item and how easy it was to install.I installed my last kitchen faucet a while back; I don't know how long ago, 10 years maybe? I didn't remember what a pain it was to install, and therefore, to uninstall. They put a 13/16th sized nut on a 5 inch long threaded rod, in the most awkward place. I only mention this because this faucet use a large, hand tightened 'nut' in place of that. It made the job so much easier.The whole job took about 45 minutes because the old one was such a pain to remove.I was disappointed by two things, but didn't down rate it for either.First was the failure to mention plumbers tape. I've never done a plumbing job without it, or caulk of some kind. There should be a mention of it if only to say you don't need it, and I have no idea why you wouldn't need it. It's a metal on metal connection for the water. It needs tape.Second, the large black nut I mentioned was plastic. You can see it in one of the pictures on this page. I would be exceedingly cautious tightening this. It is the single point of failure I can see on this, because it secures the entire faucet, which is heavy. If there's any pushing or pulling on the faucet, it will eventually weaken and probably break this piece of plastic. If there as a quality or build rating, it would have been down-rated because of this.
