Ideal for timing Gram stains
I use this clock in microbiology to measure the timing of the different stages of Gram stains (I use the times recommended by CAP while each of my colleagues uses different ones times preferred). it allows me to get away and do something else without forgetting where I am in the coloring process or what I've been doing (too easily distracted when everything's coming at me fast and furious).
