I needed a wax paste to apply to a very old worn wooden dinner service that has a lot of surface damage from heat, liquids and scratches. I didn't want to repaint any parts and lose the unique original finish. After doing some research I knew I shouldn't use an oil based wood cleaner like Murphy's or wood oil like Old English that must have been used by someone before. me, judging by some discoloration. I couldn't find wood wax in any of the stores around me so I went online and ordered this wax. It wasn't hard to put on, but it gave my hands a workout: waxing (double coat) and waxing. It didn't get rid of all the scars, bumps, or water marks, but it did give the aged wood a shine that hid imperfections and highlighted the aged finish. After 2 weeks the parts still look pretty good. I think I need to reapply the wax about every 3-4 weeks but I don't need to apply as much or double coat as the first time.
