Good for light loads

This is a pretty good tripod for light loads - it's rated at 11 pounds and I certainly wouldn't put anything heavier than 10 pounds on it. However, it works well for things like scopes (I have a scope on a tripod). PROS* It comes in a case with a shoulder strap for easy portability. which I really like.* There's foam on the top of the legs that makes it easier to grab and it offers protection if I don't pull the head down hard enough (which allows the scope to swing down and hitting the leg, which luckily is padded with foam.) * It uses folding arms to lengthen/shorten the legs (instead of bolt tensioners) and they've always been faster, easier, and more reliable than bolt tensioners for me. CONS * Although it has a carry case, it is made of very cheap material. The zipper only closes 1/4 the side length of the bag, making it awkward to take the tripod out of the bag (or put it in the bag). I prefer the quick release (lever), the base cannot be removed from the tripod which means I can't move the quick release to another tripod. It doesn't matter, but I always prefer the more versatile stuff. extremely inconvenient to use. And since the tripod is very light, I'd be afraid to add more than a pound or two to the center post for stability. Overall I'd say it's a good choice for things like scopes that aren't particularly heavy. It gets the job done and doesn't cost as much as some tripods. It definitely does its job.
