I used these to make floral embellishments (seen on Etsy) for inline skate laces. You are exactly what I wanted! The tools did exactly what I wanted and I have more than enough grommets for many projects! A note on the eyelet punch: if it doesn't work (or appears dull), it could be your finish. hits the eyelet. First I tried it on a tree. This didn't work well for me (the hit just ripped the threads out on my patch instead of cutting it through) and severely damaged the wood I hit. Then I tried to use a punch on the concrete (in the garage). This worked great (I was able to make very clean punches in my patches) but the result was chipped and damaged concrete. Finally I tried using a punch on a mini anvil. It worked great like on concrete, but I ended up with scratches and dents. the surface I encountered. As for the bushing tool itself (which puts the two parts of the bushing together) it worked great. I was able to use it on all three surfaces without damage.
