Review on HELLA 007728883 Chrome 12V Trumpet Horn Kit (Universal Fit) by Erik Sanders

I ordered it on Friday afternoon. They arrived Sunday morning with plenty of time to install. Took about 30 minutes and they sound amazing. 100 times better than standard funny beeps. I bought them for a 2021 RAV4 Prime. In electric mode, this car drives silently; It NEEDS a very loud horn, but for reasons unknown, it had two little meep-meep pancake cones. Installation was very easy: 1. Remove the 3 10mm bolts that attach the hood clasp to the frame, slide the clasp back and out of the way. A deep base or 2 inch extension will make this much easier.2. Remove the five retaining clips (pry up the center knob with a thin screwdriver, slide/pull the loose inserts and set them aside) and two 10mm screws from the shroud covering the radiator fan. Slide the fairing up and out towards the engine to access the two horns.3. For each horn, remove the 12mm locking screw and disconnect the individual wire (press the side button on the connector). Pro Tip: Use a ratcheting box wrench to access the mounting screws. You will protect yourself from curses/ankle damage.4. Repeat this process with new antlers. These horns have a mirror mount configuration. Since the cables are quite short, only a left/right configuration is actually possible. NOTE: Be sure to install the horn with the electrical connector on the engine side of the vehicle and the hole/bell of the horn facing down to prevent water from collecting inside.5. Go ahead, honk that bastard!
