Don't add Feliway pheromones and it won't work
They changed the ingredients so there is no Feliway on the packaging. I've been using Feliway pheromones for years and have noticed that these replacement refills smell bad and turn brown/yellow which the old ones didn't. I also noticed there was more fighting between my cats so I contacted my vet. After some digging, this isn't Feliway. The CEVA brand still uses Feliway, but the pheromones are different. I assumed the only change was the new look/packaging method with comfort zone branding, but that's not the case because they don't work.
