The dishes themselves don't heat up, provide good airflow for the hot air fryer, and although some spots are hopelessly blackened, it's easier to clean than just tossing something in the fryer without it. Just don't try to take it out of the fryer by the handles, as that's the only part that gets very hot. Note to manufacturer: consider changing the design without handles. Probably money would have been saved if this part had not been removed and it would have been easier to manipulate without avoiding the handles which would of course be considered the safest part to grip. It was uncomfortable to suddenly realize that I could only burn myself on the handles.
