Nice camera if you got it right

I only spent one night on this item but I am happy with the first results. I'm posting a few tips to make life easier for new Windows 10 users.Installation/Install:1. Go to Celestron website, click Support -> Manuals & Software -> Drivers & Software2. Download/install the updated USB camera driver (I believe this is the USB 2.0 camera driver update with image source). Plug in the camera, launch iCap and if everything is set up correctly, the program will detect the device (if you don't have the USB camera driver installed, you won't see any devices).5. Download Google Registax software and download 6.1, install and then update to 6.1.0.8 (DO NOT update to Celestron which version is from 2004). Operation: 1. Adjust the telescope and center the object of interest with the viewfinder and low magnification eyepiece.2. Bring the subject into focus.3. Remove the eyepiece/diagonal and insert the camera (I used a 2x Barlow in front of the camera).4. Increase iCap.5 software. At this point, only a black screen can be seen. You must do the following: a. First make sure your focus is correct (step 2). This is CRITICAL. b. Enable merging to find and center the image in the window. in. Disable binning. This will resize the image to normal (larger), but it will also make the image much darker. b. Once you see the image on the screen, right click on it and open the properties window. Go to the "Exposure" tab, turn off the "Automatic" settings and experiment with the exposure time and gain settings. There are other settings, but these two will get you started.6. Once the exposure and gain are adjusted to get the right brightness, record/save an AVI video of at least a few hundred frames. Once you've done all that, you can use Registax to embed your images. to create an acceptable image (limited by your scale and viewing conditions). The only complaint I have is that the USB connection needs to be changed. I could see the line falling out (or breaking off) depending on the orientation of the telescope. The rest of the camera works very well.
