My choice fell between a BOSE desktop CD player and a KEiiD. The $499 BOSE sounded better at low volumes but distorted more quickly at higher volumes than the $220 KEiiD. Did the BOSE 2x and 1/2x sound better to reflect the price difference? NO! The KEiiD was actually better than expected in every way, and the sound was just a little less realistic, and only at low volumes, but still worth the price. Buy KEiiD and save $300! For me it was worth it!
