As far as I can tell, the only way to get "dust" from it on your clothes is if you err in the wrong direction. I've had no problem sticking to brush or brush, they work well for quickly removing lint from your suit or clothes in a hurry, and they're nice and compact so both men and women can carry them discreetly. If you're looking for a bigger lint brush then this obviously isn't for you. This is a JOURNEY compact. That is, someone who is going to a nice party, business meeting, or job interview and needs a quick dust off of their shoulders. I wear a lot of velvet and dresses so I just keep it that way.
