A week before my car was due to be paid off my sunroof pillar died (well the second died - I bet the first died long before that). I was afraid to spend $80-100 to replace them, but I found them. Wow, my sunroof has never opened so abruptly. If I pull the handle now, I almost have to step back because there's a lot of pressure on the post. Installation is also a lot easier than the instructions suggest (I think they spend more time explaining how to remove their own racks than installing new ones). All I did was hold the sunroof in place with a dowel (you could almost knock out a meter stick if it were thick enough to support the weight of the sunroof), the clips with a flathead screwdriver from the old one pry off and then almost literally just glue the new ones on. It took me 5 minutes at most. When in doubt about getting it, just take it.
