Review on ๐Ÿพ Effortlessly Open Bottles with the OXO Steel Double Lever Waiter's Corkscrew by Mitch Garrido

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Dual Leverage Benefits

Nibble: 4-star rating only because of the serrated foil cutter, the radius of which is too small for prongs to dig into each bottle that I've come across and this type of cutter still leaves a torn edge. He brought the file to the point to sharpen it so he could cut off the smooth edge of the foil and score the cap. Plus, like every OXO product I've bought, it's designed to be very functional. Kudos for the dual lever, two-stage bottleneck hook that provides great leverage to start pulling the cork, then quickly switch to the second stage, providing quick and easy leverage to pull the most stubborn cork and pet problem of other corkscrews to solve. : Only the upper part of the spiral should be screwed in without completely piercing the cork, otherwise the pieces will fall into the wine. The lip hook and corkscrew clips are good too, they keep things where they need to be. Half the price compared to other similar designs and with a nice comfortable grip it's a pleasure every time I open a new bottle. One of those simple little pleasures in life. on the way to good wine enjoyment! For old corks that are drying out and becoming brittle, I still use my Monopol pens. Don't waste money on cheap guys that break.

Pros
  • Bottle opener and foil cutter integrated into the handle easily folds out of the body
Cons
  • Easily crumples
