As expected if not better!
I don't have a TV and my laptop doesn't have a built-in CD drive. My husband and I watch a lot of DVDs so this product is great for us! I had another external DVD-ROM drive and had it for about four years and eventually it stopped working. I found this one and for the price I would say the quality of the actual product is much better than my previous one. It is very convenient that the USB cable can be routed directly under the drive. It feels solid and substantial. No problem. I use VLC player program to play movies on my HP laptop. Works great with it! I would recommend, especially for the price!
