Review on G Technology 0G05218 Atomos Master Caddy by Eric Williamson

Please note that this is a regular 2.5" HDD and not an SSD as recommended for use with an Atomos Ninja recorder. At around 135 MB/s this is good enough for ProRes 422HD at 4K30p but too slow for reliable 60p or ProRes HQ recording This is more than enough for 1080p60 Please consider your needs before purchasing this disc I have replaced the HD with a Samsung 860 EVO SSD and put the original drive in an inexpensive plastic Atomos case. I can always use another 1TB drive, but for video just an SSD will do. I have a strip of masking tape (for plastic gun frames ) that provides enough grip for you to push it out with your thumb. The Ninja V is no problem as the drive protrudes 1/2" from the bezel.
