The Fujifilm XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS is a good addition to 18-55mm and 16-50mm lenses, giving good telephoto performance at a relatively small weight and size. Sharp at the edges and in the center already at F4.5 - F6.7, but with focal lengths from 135mm, optimal sharpness cannot be achieved up to F11. The background is easily blurred and the 7-blade diaphragm forms the background (bokeh) quite nicely. There is practically no vignetting, chromatic aberrations are present, but they are easily corrected in the editor. There is no need to talk about macro use. I liked it fast enough. accurate and quiet autofocus. The control is made as a very convenient and wide focus ring, but the aperture ring does not fail either. After a few weeks of use, you can be guided by the sensations. The entire lens is made of plastic, the weight is not great, but there is no feeling of reliability. But if you look at the price and the solutions from other manufacturers, the assembly does not seem so bad anymore. The outer lens does not rotate, which gives a very good advantage when using gradient filters. It costs very little money for this class of optics. If you don't have the money for the much more expensive Fujifilm XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS then this lens is the only good choice. I use the lens infrequently and the price is right on the budget, especially when compared to other options from Fuji.
