Review on πŸ”§ Forney 55674 Welding Helmet Headgear Replacement with Ratchet-Type Mechanism by Jason Wesley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Locking screw loosened + popped out

The ratchet closure that allows for size adjustment has a small screw that holds the gears together inside. It's a tiny little thing and unfortunately after about a week of use I popped out the screw and lost it. I only knew because I felt his nut hit the back of my shirt. I hastily wrapped wire to hold the pieces together, so I'm still using this product, but yeah. This part should have been fixed a little better. Definitely! Other than the lost screw, I love this thing! The ratchet closure is slim and has a slight adjustment step, and despite its sparse appearance, there's enough padding to stay comfortable all day. Would buy again. Might ask the manufacturer to replace the bolt + nut --- EDIT: So I emailed the manufacturer on this product page and offered to replace the entire product. AWESOME customer service, they responded immediately and were very polite. 10/10 recommend.
