UPDATE: It's been over a year and I'm still very happy with this product! The battery lasts a long time and my kittens have never been happier :) We built a pergola too close to our house and one kitten decided to climb on it and climb onto the roof, but after a simple modification of the pergola everything was fine. I don't normally do this, but I've had this product for about half a month now and it's great so far! I have two cats, one definitely more adventurous/fearful than the other, so I gave her the collar that came with the fence because she was dying to get out. We have a fenced backyard but obviously not enough to stop the cat so we run a string around the fence about a foot off the ground and it goes all the way through the backyard. I think having a physical barrier already has definitely worked in our favor so they won't be as confused when they get the change. Both cats grabbed him very quickly, as both are afraid that they will occasionally get into the correction zone and leave it again immediately. I love that you can adjust the correction levels based on the cat, and petsafe's customer support has been great.
