I use Wonder Clams in all three of my freshwater aquariums. I have a 30 gallon aquarium with two palm sized goldfish, a 20 gallon aquarium with a male betta, a neon tetra and a measles catfish, and a 5 gallon aquarium with a single betta. Each aquarium has an array of apple/mystery snails ranging in size from a pea to the size of a golf ball. I like Wonder Shells because they help keep the water crystal clear, especially in a goldfish tank (goldfish are very dirty and produce a lot of waste). I also like Wonder Shells because they have definitely changed the strength, smoothness and beauty of my Apple/Mystery Snails shells (the shell is no longer pitted or cracked). I also have issues with kelp and green algae on the sides of the tank. I take a Miracle Sink and rub it up and down the sides of the tank and it removes algae (no scrubber needed!) and makes the tank sparkle. I've also noticed that algae grows slower when the Miracle Shell is in the tank. The water in the tank smells better too; maybe because the algae are under control now? I really like the product and will continue to buy it.
