To help keep my hands hydrated at night I ordered these gloves to keep lotion/oil from getting on the sheets. The material is soft, thin and breathable. I was concerned that I would be tempted to rip them off at night because my hands were hot, but these gloves are comfortable to wear. My hands are a bit big for a woman and these gloves fit perfectly. I particularly appreciate that the material is long enough to cover my wrist, which helps secure the gloves on my hands. These gloves didn't keep my skin wet. The material is unlined and since they are breathable I'm sure the air will get to my skin. I found the material also helps absorb any moisturizer I choose. For my skin, Vaseline worked best as a good moisturizer for these gloves. I also took a few and cut off my fingertips to keep my hands moist while typing on the computer. These gloves did what I wanted. I've also seen myself using them when opening a jar to sort through dirty coins.
