I bought it as a temporary plug for a socket (MSI 760G-P43 FX). It turned out to be a plug, but I'm still thinking about replacing it, because 2 cores are a meager arsenal. Pros below: Quite an adequate price, relative to intel. A friend has an i3 which Win8 rated 7.1 and mine ii270 6.9. The processor does not heat up at all, though it cannot, because it lies under a rather weighty heatsink with two fans and copper pipes. For those comrades who need a cheap and productive processor - ideal Cons below: The performance was not very pleasing, compared to the same Intel Core Duo there is almost no difference, given that the ii270 works in conjunction with DDR3 (4GB). The load rarely drops to zero. GTA4 loads it up to 100%, although the performance depends on the video card (8600GTS), and not on the processor. Not enough cache and nothing can be unlocked, as in ii x3
