YES! THIS IS THE BIGGEST SLICED BREAD! OK . I exaggerate! But . I ALWAYS tried to pumice my feet with a pumice stone 2-3 times a week. thought my feet were in pretty good condition, summer sandals. I usually do my own pedicure! BUT went to a good well known salon to get my hair done. I wanted a quick manicure/pedicure when I didn't have time to do it myself. GOOD when the manicurist applied this tool to my feet after a good bath. I was appalled at the amount of dead skin! Absolutely shocked! Since I am a regular customer of the salon, she gave me this foot file to look at. I removed ALL the details of the Mehaz foot file! I've been told that salons trash the sand file after each client, but as individuals we can keep using each file until it's no longer full! I'll try to remember to update this review if I find I need to replace the sanding pad because it's no longer working effectively. Here's what I did. They sent me both types of sanding pads. So I put one of the 100 grit pads on one side and one of the 60 grit pads on the other side. I have tried to position each one in the center and as close to the tip as possible since the tip of the tool comes into play in use. After the shower, when my feet were very soft, I first used a 100 grit pad, then ended up with a finer 60 grit. I HAVE TO WARN YOU! I was so impressed with what I was doing that at 100 grit I was just TOO energized! The next day one area of my foot was a little tender! So how do you get used to it? remember . LESS MORE! You can always do more tomorrow! Also, I was worried about what would happen in terms of cleanliness. I kept thinking about the amount of dead skin in the cabin! Do not worry about it . I just ran the file under hot running water and it looked brand new. I was so happy! Then I store it and end up tipping it over to air dry. Ready for the next mission! Then I used lots of body lotion and my feet got soft as the proverbial baby on the back! UPDATE: Bought one for my husband. YES, men get "horny" heels! He loves to! Easy to use . easy to clean . NO female look in his soul! (Also a plus because he is diabetic and SHOULD take better care of his feet and I wanted to make it easy for him with no excuses!)
