I installed this on a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. An adjustment was required to properly install the tensioner. I suggest comparing the location of the bearing (in the pulley) to the bearing and pulley assembly you are removing. I didn't, and the new pulley rubbed on the aluminum timing chain cover, leaving a ring-shaped groove in the aluminum. I had to remove the pulley and press the bearing about 2mm against the back of the pulley (rear when mounting on a car). This caused the pulley to move forward a little and had enough play to rotate without friction. The thickness of the pulley metal is noticeably thinner than the original.
