Maybe by the end of the decade I'll be able to knit them! In my first year of knitting, I fell in love with this book and took it home with me, determined that I would be good enough to knit *something* out of it. The more I learned, the more I realized that this is not a very accessible book, at least not for beginner knitters. After two and a half years of experience, there are still very few patterns that I feel comfortable with (and they aren't the most exciting, and in some cases I'd rather buy a sweater than expose myself to all those jerseys). ), and most of them have at least one term I haven't heard of. It offers a range of color work patterns as well as extremely structured jerseys, who use complex cables and bells and whistles. There are also some very nice basic clothing items. I think most of the patterns are for knitting, although there is at least one pattern for a very pretty colored shawl. Some limited programs are offered. I'd like to see a wider range of skill levels covered in this book, but unfortunately I'll try to use it simply as motivation.
