It works but I hate it.
It has different screw sizes than the shower valve. Once you use the "cover" you will need longer shower valve screws. The cover screws are quite long but not the same size, so you'll have to go to the hardware store again to look for custom-sized screws. If the bolts were the same diameter, they could easily be swapped out. Big failure FFFFF, any mind with a pan could come up with a better script!
