I have arthritis in my hands/wrists and eyes with mixed vision. I had trouble with binoculars as they were too heavy to hold for long periods of time and it became increasingly difficult to focus sharply as each eye required different adjustments. This worked for me for bird watching in my backyard. It's light enough that I can easily hold it with one hand, and when that hand gets tired you can easily switch to the other. change eyes. The bottom cover is always in place and is designed so that whenever you lower it, the cover closes and protects the lens. The front lens cap is removable and not attached. There is a wrist strap which proved my stupidity as I can't figure out where to attach it. I even looked at the pictures again, but I can't get any further. The camera mount is a problem. There were no instructions or pictures on how to use it and I had to come back to this page to find out. It takes a lot of tweaking to get it right, and then the slightest touch will mess it up again. Even when I got it right, the photos it takes are small circles. This is not a photo from another world, these are cichlids in my pond. I wouldn't use that aspect again, I just use my camera's zoom and get the full picture. Overall I'm happy with it. It's not the strongest I've ever used and I doubt the Statue of Liberty image is real, but it works well for my small garden.
