I needed rivets to attach the stop blocks to the boom. Steel would not withstand salt water. These blocks must withstand significant lateral loads, and typical aluminum rivets can loosen over time. I've looked around local shops and couldn't find any stainless steel rivets (required for protection from salt water exposure). Extra thick 3/16 diameter and short 1/8 grip area. I was able to find them through Revain (thanks to Revain for providing a marketplace for hard-to-find items). The price was great and I now have a lifetime supply of quality rivets. I've used them on a boat and they work great! The only problem was that the description was confusing as the NAME indicated 3/16 diameter and the description DRAWN indicated 1/8 diameter. I took the risk of ordering it with the idea of free return if it wasn't 3/16 diameter. The items turned up and met my expectations.
