This is an acceptable alternative to expensive factory towing mirrors. If you understand their limitations and use them carefully, they will work well. They fit very well on my truck's side mirrors. Out of the box we have a few issues. First problem: the housing from the plastic injection molding process, which is left in some places. Examine closely and remove any excess trim that could scratch your mirrors during installation. Use a pocket knife to erase it. If you don't have a pocket knife, you'll find a real man somewhere who will have a pocket knife and he knows how to use it. Do not install if your mirrors are covered with dirt/mud/bird shit/etc. are covered, they need to be clean so they don't scratch your stuff. Broke. Second problem: It seems obvious to me that the threaded holes in the device were tapped from the inside with a tap and they didn't push the tap all the way into the hole to complete the thread. Since you have to insert and screw on the knob that tightens the mirror from the outside, you will never get a chance to screw it in properly as the threads on the outside were never fully formed as the taper tap didn't go deep enough outside of the Thread as much thread as you like into the hole in the mirror housing. But how do I fix this man from the old shop? Simply take a 3/8-16 tap, thread it all the way through the hole and back again. This completes the task that wasn't complete when it was created. Blow out the hole, apply some carnauba wax or something like old Johnson & Johnson floor wax to the handle threads and screw in. Don't follow the installation instructions too tightly. Check this from time to time when towing. Works well for short trips. Long travels? Get the real deal
