Review on Hamilton Beach Electric Knife - Stainless Steel Blade, Ergonomic Handle, Sturdy Case, Bonus Carving Fork by Victor Olsen

I bought this product to replace a Hamilton Beach electric knife we bought about 40 (yes, 40) years ago. It worked very well. Gave it to my daughter for Thanksgiving and was going to buy a new one. Bought the "Best of the Line" Hamilton Beach for $50 to cut a large rib roast into 1 1/2" steaks. It didn't cut a roast without a lot of effort and time and after two steaks it overheated where I couldn't hold the device, the blades seemed to dull the first piece of fresh meat out of the box.Finally I had to use my standard Henkel carving knife which worked very well.Another product with a long history that is no longer good is working.
