Review on Aqueon 🔍 Filter Cartridge Replacements by Sonia Hills

I love my Aqueon filter, it's so easy to set up and use. I don't like filter cartridges. The cartridge that came with the filter was pretty good and I had no problems with it. Didn't get crystal clear water but thought it was user error or as clear as my tank could be. But I didn't have a smelly fish tank or anything like that. When I came across this 12 pack I bought it because it was such an amazing deal. However, the amount of charcoal in them is minimal at best. I think the reason they are offered so cheaply is because they reduce charcoal costs. This cartridge alone doesn't seem to do much for my aquarium. I need to add more charcoal as it has nothing to do with the smells. I finally got clean water by putting some filter sponges in the space behind the cartridge (stumbled across this in some Revain reviews of other products), who knew it was that easy? The water became clear in less than an hour after adding the sponges. I do not recommend these cartridges no matter how good the deal is.
