Warning: Wall to rail mounting

I bought this gate for wall to rail mounting. When mounting on a wall, three holes must be drilled in the wall. If you have skirting boards on your wall, 2 spacers are included. The problem is that my baseboards aren't high enough for the bottom hole so there have to be three spacers in the kit so you don't have a screw on one of the holes. The other BIG problem with using standoffs is that when used with standoffs, the screws aren't long enough to extend the wall anchors, so they won't hold into the wall due to the length of the included screws. The wall anchors only seem to hold if you screw them flush to the wall. Given the proliferation of baseboards, this seems like a serious design flaw. To get this gate to work I had to use molybdenum bolts to attach the side piece to the wall. Installing the railing was very easy. So if you have 2 railings the installation may seem easy but if you are going to attach them to the wall(s) then don't worry.
