Beast from Abus, the best in sport

For a long time I've been looking for suitable high-security chains and high-security locks that give me security when locking my e-bike. -Scramblers. The problem I kept encountering was finding the right chain length/thickness to get around my bike's frame, across the wide front wheel, and around the object. That in and of itself wasn't a problem with the Abus 8ks chain until I tried to find a decent (mostly uncrackable) high security lock to match the chain. After trying several strong locks and realizing that they all had one fatal flaw (Stanley lock: solid construction/easy to pick, Abus 37k/60: really great lock/hard to pick/only 5/16" shackle gaps ), I started getting sick with it. trying to find the right lock/chain combination. That being said, I was originally trying not to spend $200 on a lock combo like the Abloy Protec2/Abus 8ks, so I stumbled across this chain/lock on the Abus website and was surprised that it met all my requirements (solid chain , good length and a complex cylindrical lock). It's a little pricey, but given its fit and finish and the comparative additional cost of a similar chain and padlock to the 37rk/80, I personally think it was worth it. Pros: fit and finish is excellent, strong and feels very secure, chain length is just enough to secure my bike, card key allows all other Abus locks to be locked if needed. Cons: It's hefty and requires a key in the shackle to lock it, which can make securing your bike a bit more complex. Another consideration I had to make was enough length and anti-burglary protection (cylinder core) to block my E-Bike Hyperscrambler.
