This is really a 5 star rating to get your attention 4: I bought this to have a to replace broken fluorescent tube that I bought The photographer recommended LEDs instead, but you need 4 of those specific LEDs in your photo light to compensate for this, so you need those to convert it to hold 4 of them. Anyway, I screwed them in and finally found that these particular flash holders had a small protrusion that interfered with the extension cord. Once we figured that out, we got an extension cord (for about $3) and all is good. They are very durable and very well made. I recommend them for whatever you use them for, but don't think they're broken if they don't work right out of the box. Maybe they just don't get in touch (it's not their fault) :)
