The socket broke the first time I used it!

I was trying to use this - carefully - for the very first time and the main socket fell apart! Not only uncomfortable, but dangerous! I am returning the item.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Updates available

Looks good and works great

These blocks have 4 ceramic bases and appear to be very well made. I used 3 CFLs with a reflective umbrella and it really gave off light. In fact, it was so bright that I removed one of the lightbulbs to adjust the illuminance to my desired level.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Nothing

Excellent quality light adapter

This splitter is very well made, please note the sockets are not plastic! The base is plastic but it is far from the heat generated by the bulbs. I now have 4 LED bulbs in this splitter (6-8 watts each) and it spends around 14 hours a day. The small angle of the outlets gives really good coverage (it's installed in a porcelain outlet in the 12 foot ceiling of my garage/workshop). This is perfect for a location where you need to run 4 CFLs or 4 LED bulbs from a conventional outlet.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not the best

Good product! But don't trust him for high wattage incandescent bulbs.

Excellent ceramic settings! Looks solid enough if not dropped. Ideal for CFL or LED bulbs! As others have noted, the black square portion of the base is plastic and isn't clearly labeled as to how many total watts can safely be installed. So for example I wouldn't trust black plastic to warp/melt with a 300 watt bulb in any of the 4 sockets. It's also quite heavy, especially with 4 large compact fluorescent bulbs. Therefore, if you are a photographer, tripods with less light can tip over.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Great for Edison LEDs and works great for dimming

I installed four Edison LEDs and am very satisfied. I think any LED will work just fine but I liked the look of the Edison and wanted good light output so this was a way to put 4 8 watt bulbs in a socket and get over 1600 lumens from the largest LED bulb , which I haven't found anything else (which I didn't like visually). I also use them on a dimmer and have no problem dimming all 4 bulbs. If you're using incandescent bulbs I can see this thing getting hot and it would probably be impractical…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • No mold required

Very practical for photo compact fluorescent lamps on an umbrella stand. The same applies to AC strobes with an optical slave. And they're even better suited to consuming all those regular household CFLs that I bought because I figured LEDs were going to be expensive for a long time. Each of my garage stalls has an overhead light fitting. With them, I can screw four "100W equivalent" CFLs into that outlet, get enough light, and use those CFLs before I die. ignite. And for some reason, this…

Pros
  • Expensive but modest
Cons
  • Volume

This is really a 5 star rating to get your attention 4: I bought this to have a to replace broken fluorescent tube that I bought The photographer recommended LEDs instead, but you need 4 of those specific LEDs in your photo light to compensate for this, so you need those to convert it to hold 4 of them. Anyway, I screwed them in and finally found that these particular flash holders had a small protrusion that interfered with the extension cord. Once we figured that out, we got an extension cord

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Neutral
