Expensive but well designed to give amazing results

It turned out great! Overall the results are great but I wish they would develop another metal stencil like this but with a thinner final height for a less textured final look. Remember to rub the outside edges of the patch against the existing wall with a damp sponge after patching. This will give you the best mixing results and minimize grinding after the product has dried. The amount of texture can be adjusted by adjusting the application technique. Use less product and a thinner application if your walls have minimal texture. Apply more product and a thicker/deeper coat if your existing finishes are heavily textured. A template cut is also possible, which better adapts to the texture of the wall. This will make more sense if you have a metal stencil in your hands. Some areas have larger, wavy openings that create a deeper, rougher wall. Other areas had small squiggles with holes, resulting in less depth and a finer texture. For my money this tool is just a bomb. I've been renovating or renovating homes as a self-taught Queen for almost 50 years. Nothing I've ever tried has produced a patch that good and not that fast. I had to talk myself into spending a lot of money ($21) for this 7" x 7" (approx.) thin piece of metal. But it gets the job done quickly and easily, so I'm glad I spent the money. I think the manufacturer should offer 1 more metal stencil with a finer texture. Both stencils they offer should come with a soft silicone or plastic handle/grip. Perhaps the stencil could be installed in a soft flexible frame around the stencil. I made the handle for our stencil using several layers of this beautiful green masking tape. It works, but I have to be careful not to tear it when I clean my tiger stencil under running water. The seemingly rust-resistant stencil is easy to clean with soap, water, and a long-handled kitchen brush as long as the patch product doesn't dry on. WARNING, depending on your patch product, you do NOT want this material to dry on your stencil.
