I use mine with a category 5e direct connection. Instead, I wanted to move the PC from our point of sale in the shop to the office. I used a USB to HDMI adapter from the computer to the transmitter as it is a multifunctional device with no display port and also with 3.5mm audio out and USB port. Connected to the receiver end are our point-of-sale touchscreen and peripherals, as well as an audio output to our hands-free music kit. Works like a clock with no lags and audio/video quality issues. We save a lot of time by being able to work on the same computer at the reception and in the back office.
