Review on πŸ€• Soles Medical Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizing Velpeau Bandage Pediatric - Trusted Support for Young Patients (SLS511PD) by David Maxwell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Hardly suitable for a tall person, it's good that it's not heavy.

The wearer of this sling is 1.82 m tall and the straps fit him, just not like the photo. He's wearing it because of a broken collarbone. People complain that there are no instructions, but it's really easy to understand by looking at the picture and the product. In the picture, the back straps go under the arm and attach in the front. The straps on the big guy were nowhere near as long and had to go under the arms to attach to the side. The chest strap works on him (suit size 44) but there was maybe a 2 inch overlap. The problems with this bandage are that it is quite warm, non-breathable and somewhat stretchy. There is no armrest, so there is no direct support for the shoulder, just the forearm. Elasticity provides some flexibility and therefore a less secure fit. The hospital fabric one didn't budge and we used a fabric belt for extra support for his chest. This combo seems to provide better support than this sling, but the crossed back of this sling is much more comfortable around the neck than over one shoulder.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing here
