Judging by the reviews, I had much higher expectations. Unfortunately, they were unfounded. To insert the battery, you must first remove the screw, not just press the battery cover as directed. More importantly, he recorded temperatures 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit below detectable temperatures both inside and outside the home. Returned it and bought one in HF for $10 less which works great.
