Review on Duck Brand 281156 Pre-Taped Painter's Drop Cloth: Convenient 22-inch by 100 Feet Protection, Single-Pack by Jason Arkin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good idea, cheap execution

The tape should be wider, and the "cloth" should be thick plastic. The plastic sticks to the roll as you would expect, but when unwinding the part next to the tape that was more compressed on my roll sticks and tears, leaving the 'cloth' ending up with holes. If you're not shopping online, look for a reel that has a completely smooth, wrinkle-free plastic part. If you're gluing glass, a mirror, or a countertop, the width of the tape might be fine, but the light weight of the plastic allows it to float under the tape before it sticks. Perhaps with the practice of many roles one could learn to use this product as it is currently manufactured, but I am playing it safe and going back to the old methods of surface protection.

Pros
  • Painting materials and tools
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
