Your average family guy review: I recently renovated my home theater with a projector. I didn't want to break the bank as I hadn't used projectors before settling on the Elite Screen 100 Manual Pro Slow Retract model. Installation was easy as I had other help and I only used two heavy duty drywall anchors. (estimated at £45 each) to hook it to the ceiling. The quality seems great. The case is nice and feels solid. After each case, change the position of the projector. The slow retract works as described but the audio is a little louder than in the demo video. The screen itself appears to be made from great material - a great white and black border that eliminates any light aliasing. Yes, there are some ripples on this screen (it's not a tension screen) and they seem to get a little worse, mostly towards the bottom center of the screen. Right now they aren't big and too much when movies are on or games are on I don't really notice them. However, if the picture is bright and contains a lot of white, they can be noticed. Overall happy with the purchase for the price. I think it's a great screen for the money and would definitely get 5 stars if it wasn't for the waves. Pros: Great value for money, nice bright screen, good materials, slow break-in looks good Cons: small ripples bottom center, slow break-in a bit noisy UPDATE! 03/06/15 - I contacted Elite Screens tech support after researching online and they confirmed that using an electric hair dryer on low to medium heat ON THE BACK OF THE SCREEN (not the front otherwise you could damage it) can remove most/all shafts. Hold the dryer about 2-3 inches and keep moving it in small circular motions. This removed most/all waves on my screen. +1 star for their great support (spoken to a live person immediately without waiting) and the fact that the ripples were fixed. It's not 100% perfect, but then again, it's a stretch-free screen for $150.
