Nice improvement on the filters

I couldn't handle the stock noise of my 2004 Crown Vic Sport when accelerating. I received this and this model (69-3532) fits this machine and not the other that K&N says is the correct model. I keep it. But the improvement over stock sound is marginal at best unless you're into volume rather than refined performance. If it was part of a complete exhaust upgrade and more it would make a lot more sense. I will keep the original air intake if I sell the car as I expect K&N to be negative on resale. UPDATE October 2020 - I'm happy - I ditched the stock air intake. Note. I washed and replaced the filter before it was completely dry. BIG MISTAKE - Coincidentally I got the engine light and code much later. Two mechanics, a few parts and a lot of dollars, and a few months later I googled something about the mass air flow sensor causing this code. I took some air cleaning solution and cleaned the sensor - everything is fixed :) The water-oil mixture from the wet filter polluted the sensor. All these problems because I didn't read the cleaning instructions. Now I see that I should re-oil the filter with oil and not use high pressure water.
