I gave 3 stars because the ink was dark black and was great for brushing and filling in the darkest blacks. The big problem from day one, as others have mentioned, was the lid. There was an issue where it didn't close properly. When I first untied the lid it didn't stop properly and seemed to go over the threads and had to push and twist to close. It then gets out of control when you try to water it and flies all over the place. I examined the lid. carefully and found that there was a crack at the very top. Also, the bottle didn't have a red cap and didn't say "ink" on the front. Coverage issues, it will be a 5 star product. Anyway, I won't buy it again. If you have a good container with a good lid, maybe you can pour that in and bypass the problems of a bad lid.
