I bought this to replace my small microprocessor which I used to chop celery and chop up a small amount of vegetables for salads and soups. After much research I found out that this is the only processor that fits in the same slim case as my old one. I had my doubts BUT it's as good or better than my old one AND it shreds cheese like a champ! I was making lasagna and my poor dear husband was staring at the cheese slicer as he complained a little about arthritis in his hands. I remembered that the instructions for this processor explained how to grind soft and hard cheeses and pulled it out. My husband fed me cut pieces that fit the tube and I throbbed. TWO POUNDS of mozzarella, provolone and aged parmesan shred to perfection in just minutes. The best lasagna!
